March Madness

A picture for Cornell's first win.

And one for the second round.

The end of March sure came quickly. It's probably a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence what happened this month: Cornell advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA men's basketball tournament. Tai won't remember watching these games, but I'll tell him that in 2010, he rooted for Cornell, the Ivy League champs who defied the odds.

For the record, other family alma maters did quite well too. Northern Iowa (Grandma) knocked off No. 1 Kansas in the second round, a gigantic upset that might be replayed a few decades from now. And Cal (Mommy) beat Louisville in the first round.

Cheesebooooooooard!

Yummy! Karaage chicken at Ryowa.

Earlier in the month, while I was away for work in New Orleans, Mommy and Tai hit all the East Bay hot spots. Mommy claims they covered a lot more ground in shorter amounts of time without Daddy. The photos above were sent on Mommy's iPhone so that Daddy wouldn't miss Tai as much.

Tai must be getting bigger because he now fits into his Nemo shirt that he received from Mia last year. Tai topped 30 pounds this month.

Maybe this is why he's gaining weight. Tai is polishing off a milkshake after eating his entire kid's burger at Barney's.
