Went to check out the campus with the boys on Cal Day. Maybe they'll go to school there one day, although it would be a bit close to home.

"Vacation" in SF

We decided to take a "vacation" across the Bay today and act like tourists.

First we started off at the well-known Koi Palace in Daly City for dim sum.

Kenji copies Tai whatever he does. So if Tai sticks out his tongue....

Next it was off to Fisherman's Wharf, near where I work. I see tourists every day having fun, so I thought we should enjoy it as well. I had the bright idea that Tai and I should ride the RocketBoat (no babies allowed).

It's one of the fastest boast on the Bay. Let's have fun!

Oh boy, this boat is really going fast.

Reaching up to speeds of 45 mph. I thought Tai might get sick. Instead, he loved it. It felt like we were flying, he said.

And now we're getting drenched. The boat "skidded" and did donuts in the water. Splashing everywhere and gusty winds.

Good thing Tai's jacket had a hood.

At the end of the half-hour ride, we got a good view of the sea lions hanging out by Pier 39.

For dinner we went to The Franciscan Crab Restaurant, a wonderful place overlooking the water. Black linguine with seafood was out of this world.

Final stop: Ghirardelli Square
