Leaving Kaneohe

We began the year yesterday with a fabulous dinner party at the Oshima's house, catching up with family I hadn't seen in years, and that Thu had never met. It was a great way to start the year, despite UH's loss in the Sugar Bowl, a defeat that I think made the entire state of Hawaii sad.

We just had a dim sum lunch with Auntie Lilian and now we're on our way to the airport, flying off to Maui. On the plane ride over, we'll have to think of a way to upgrade our room to an ocean view. Our second anniversary? The magical triple-A card?
