"I hear the cherry blossoms are wonderful over there this time of year," Tai said, staring into Mia's hand, which he gripped with his own."Yes, they're beautiful," replied Mia. "Maybe someday I'll take you there."
"You won't forget me while you're in Japan, will you?"
"I doubt that."
"There are so many Japanese babies there."
"Of course, but . . ."
"Here, put this Cheerios in your sticky palm. Hold it tightly. I'll see you when you get back."
